Feelings of community, encouragement and fun were what Tom and I had in mind when planning Toronto Metropolitan University's Battle of the Bands event. We had many logistical elements figured out: 6 bands, 3 judges, a live audience of 260 people and a myriad of creatives coming together to execute this vision. From ideation to performance day, we worked tirelessly to source funding, manpower and an audience for this event. In the end, we were able to oversee 30 volunteers and book our event at TD Music Hall (located in the Massey Hall venue).
